Coordinates conflicts clearance for new support staff hires Firm-wide, including domestic and international offices.

Effectively communicates and coordinates the necessary steps to ensuring that proper conflicts clearance has been obtained for all new attorneys hires.
Participates in the conflicts checks of attorneys and partner.
Interacts with hiring personnel from all offices and the Corporate Library to ensure that each support staff new hire does not pose an ethical conflict for the Firm.
Reviews conflicts reports from the Corporate Library, sorts through the information and makes inquiries via e-mail to the appropriate Partners regarding pertinent conflict hits.
Creates and distributes Ethical Wall, Waivers and Conflicts memos when requested.
Follows up with Partners for Ethical Wall/Waiver corrections/revisions/approvals.
Maintains Conflicts filing system.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with clients, attorneys and staff.
Recommends and implements changes and improvements in methods and procedures to higher level management.
Interacts with Attorney Recruiting coordinators with regard to lateral and summer associates entering the firm, communications with incoming associates.
Participates in department meetings and updates all relevant coordinators, managers as to conflicts clearance status.
Prepares completed conflicts package and ensure that all materials, responses, signatures, and screening memos.

2+ years of conflicts experience in a law firm
Proficiency using MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree

SUMMARY:

An international law firm is looking for a Marketing Assistant to maintain the InterAction CRM database and provide general marketing assistance.  Ideal candidates will have demonstrated ability to maintain data integrity with strong analytical and project related skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

MARKETING DUTIES:

? Research individuals, companies, industries, competitors and legal trends 
? Use InterAction for event management, e-mail marketing and contact segmentation
? Assist with planning internal and external events; handle all logistics, including formatting invitations, tracking RSVPs and preparing name badges and marketing packets 
? Compile event data and provide follow up information for review
? Respond to attorney requests for marketing materials
? Handle dissemination press releases promoting firm initiatives and hires
? Upload and submit directory submissions on behalf of attorneys, practice groups and firm

INTERACTION CRM DATA STEWARD DUTIES:

? Manage the InterAction database and act as a reference for end users regarding usage and capabilities
? Perform data clean up and maintenance:  Add, remove, and edit contact data and information for people and company records to maintain accuracy; merge duplicate contacts; research and input missing information such as email addresses, job titles, and mailing addresses
? Maintain the high level categories of contacts to reflect valid/invalid email addresses, opt out status, etc.
? Provide primary support for the export of InterAction data for hard copy mass mailing campaigns, including but not limited to the filtering of mailing lists for eligible contacts

REQUIRED SKILLS: 

? 1-2 years of InterAction experience in a legal or professional services firm; Law firm preferred
? Demonstrated experience with blogging and social media tools including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
? Thorough understanding of basic InterAction concepts such as company association, address sharing, folder linking, global and folder-specific additional fields, and public and private contacts
? Knowledge of advance InterAction concepts such as the Data Change Management tools, Folder Dependency Analyzer and Contact Types
? Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
? Bachelor's degree
