Our Operations team based in NYC is looking for experienced, hard working, "love-my-job" applicants who will support our busy Order Processing, EDI and Fulfillment divisions.
This is a mission critical position which requires attention to detail, speed, accuracy, focus, thoroughness and accountability. There will be times when the pressure is on and the ability to work well under such circumstances is imperative.
Specifically the role entails the following functions:
Process customer orders. Assigning available items to orders, preparing invoices, shipping documents. Processing EDI transactions.
Check inventory records to determine availability of requested merchandise.
Verify customer and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
Review orders for completeness according to reporting procedures and forward incomplete orders for further processing.
Confer with production, sales, shipping, or warehouse in order to expedite or track shipments.
Interface with shipping department to prepare and ship orders to designated locations
Inform Sales by mail or telephone of order information, such shipping dates, and any anticipated delays.
Develop and maintain positive Sales relations through prompt response time regarding status of outstanding orders
Perform administrative and ad-hoc duties when assigned by dept supervisor
Experience Required:
High School diploma or equivalent; 2 years college preferred
At least 2 years of relevant experience;
Meticulous and self-motivated with excellent communication and administrative skills;
Good interpersonal & communication skills
Analytical skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to work well with others, Team oriented.
Computer desktop applications (Excel, Word) skills
