Busy UWS Wine Bar with focus on Old World Organic, Biodynamic and Sustainable wines, Mediterranean, market-driven cuisine, and true hospitality, is looking for a Manager. Ability to wear many hats necessary. Detailed involvement with both floor managing and beverage directing essential. Immediate potential for advancement.

Rewarding Opportunities for the Following Qualifications:
- minimum 2 years Full Time Management experience in NYC & 4 years total industry experience
- strong, intricate knowledge of Old World Wine (Sommelier Certification OR equivalent knowledge required, no exceptions)
- direct and effective communicator
- excellent organization and time management
- hands-on management style, sincere passion for hospitality
- strong bartending ability, willingness to possibly share in rotating bartending shifts
- comfortable in intimate team environment
- hunger and motivation to learn more is crucial

Responsibilities Include:

Operational
- Assist with or personally execute (depending on daily need): staff meetings, daily pre-shift meetings, daily beverage updates
- Strong floor presence: oversee all staff, patrons, steps of service and operations during daily evening service
- End of night cash handling & batch settlements
- Large/private party event planning and execution
- Participate actively in weekly strategy meetings with owners & Chef
- Co-responsible for maintaining all DOH standards and compliance with all federal and labor laws

Administrative
- Assist with or personally execute: weekly FOH schedules for 10 employees, FOH & BOH payroll for 15 employees
- Assist with or personally execute: FOH staff hiring, development, evaluations, education, termination
- Aloha POS programming & problem shooting
- Work directly with P&Ls, manage COG, oversee and develop SOPs
- Respond to daily inquiry emails from patrons, media, PR, sales-people, etc.

Beverage
- Assist with or personally execute: taste, select, purchase, oversee, implement, cost/price the wine list based on seasonality, availability, and constant need for rotation; level of involvement based on experience
- Assist with or personally execute ordering of: wine, beer, beverages, spirits; level of involvement based on experience
- Monthly beverage inventory
