KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high quality secretarial, word processing and administrative support to NYC based Equity Partners, Visiting Attorneys and Associate teams
• Communicate regularly with service departments, attorneys and clients at offices across the world
• Act as gatekeeper and liaison, tracking all requests, outstanding matters and monitoring case statuses
• Answer calls and follow protocol for screening, gathering relevant information, taking messages and following up; respond and/or escalate as appropriate
• Organize, track, sort and distribute all incoming mail
• Prepare documents, packages and correspondence; arrange for outgoing delivery
• Transcribe audio dictation, typing and word processing letters, faxes, notes, documents etc. including proof reading of documents to ensure that completed documents have been checked for spelling and grammar and produced without error
• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks including but not limited to photocopying, printing, preparing letters, notes, documents, etc.
• Establish and/or maintain accurate and up-to-date records, contact information and filing systems
• Coordinate and schedule attorney diaries and calendars booking appointments, hotels, travel arrangements, lunches etc.; follow up and set reminders to assist attorneys with prompt attendance
• Handle personal assistant duties on request
• Assist attorneys with troubleshooting computer and document issues
• Maintain accurate knowledge of the policies and procedures of the firm in order assist with queries

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of legal and administrative experience, preferably in an corporate law environment
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to multitask, work well under pressure, complete assignments in an accurate and timely manner and maintain confidentiality
• Highly adaptable and extremely intelligent, professional and articulate
• Proactive, eager, helpful and organized
• Great ability to anticipate needs and flawlessly execute plans
• Bachelor's degree or secretarial certification preferred
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
• Ability to work overtime, as needed
• Types a minimum of 50-60 words per minute

The Assistant Laboratory Technician will participate as a productive team member to execute Science Care policies, procedures, job duties, standards, quality, and metrics within the procurement laboratory. Documentation of these job activities will be recorded legibly and accurately. The technician will report to the Laboratory Supervisor and assist with daily operations. The technician will perform the following laboratory tasks: donor screening and blood draws, physical assessments of donors, tissue recovery and processing, documentation and logging, tissue storage and tissue tracking, hazardous waste disposal, and cleaning. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is a great opportunity to work in a laboratory setting and utilize clinical, biological, medical, and surgical applications. In addition this position is very interactive and hands on within the laboratory.

Scope and Responsibilities: Support the mission, vision, values of Science Care. Independently perform all daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory activities and adherence to all policies and procedures while performing job functions, such as blood draws, donor physical assessments, tissue recovery and processing, tissue storage and tracking, and cleaning. Demonstration of sense of urgency and assurance of consistent achievement of quality standards. Actively participates in quality program activities. Ability to perform Low Post Procurements on a STAT basis Hold themselves and teammates accountable for achieving personal and departmental standards and goals. Utilize and enforce safe lab practices and maintain a clean working environment and facility standards. In-depth understanding of software programs: SC Donors, Great Plains, MS Office. Complete, process, and maintain controlled documentation accurately and timely. Perform project summaries. Availability for before/after hours and weekend laboratory duties when needed. Additional assigned tasks to include distribution and event duties as needed.

Skills/ Requirements

Bachelor's degree in science field or other appropriate related field. Minimum of 1+years of relevant progressive work experience in laboratory, clinical applications, and healthcare, biological or medical sciences, or combination there of. Individual who is self-motivated, professional, detail oriented; with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and has the ability to multi-task several projects and work in fast paced environment. Proven ability to work well with autonomy, flexibility, and function successfully in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast paced working environment. Strong knowledge of human/gross anatomy Working knowledge of AATB standards, medical terminology, human anatomy and physiology, patient charts, lab results, gross anatomy, and surgical applications or willingness to learn. Commitment to superior quality and professional service. Ability to professionally manage confidential information.
