Be the change in a small public school. Teach in a new visions public school. New Visions for Public Schools is now accepting applications from dedicated and passionate teachers who want to work in small, progressive schools for the 2012-2013 school year. Working with the NYC Department of Education, New Visions is a network of 80 schools across the five boroughs that benefit from the focus, resources, and development opportunities afforded to smaller, more intimate learning communities.

Small Schools, Big Impact. New Visions schools are primarily small high schools and middle schools, many in their first years of growth. Our schools are varied, with new schools, transfer schools, CTE schools, single-sex schools and bilingual schools all a part of our network. Last year, we launched two new charter high schools that are continuing to grow in the coming school year: New Visions Charter High School for Humanities and The New Visions Charter High School for Advanced Math and Science. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce the opening of two additional New Visions Charter High Schools in September 2012.

Exemplary Teaching Matters. All New Visions principals seek to empower their team of teachers through professional development and leadership opportunities specific to small schools. Exclusive grants like the Fund for Teachers give teachers with three years of experience the opportunity to travel internationally to develop new lessons and curriculum to appeal to their students and revitalize their practice. Between our new and growing schools and our established, innovative schools, we hired over 300 teachers last year.

One Application, 80 New York City Public Schools. One application provides access to a network of 80 diverse schools looking for committed, experienced teachers. Our application also yields strong matches between teachers and schools by taking your preferences into account.

Candidates who submit their application early will also receive first consideration for our exclusive job fairs to be held in the spring. Please note that you will need to complete the application in its entirety, even if you have applied with us already in the past. To access the newly launched application, please visit www.newvisions.org/teach.
