Small Schools, Big Impact. New Visions schools are primarily small high schools and middle schools, many in their first years of growth. Our schools are varied, with new schools, transfer schools, CTE schools, single-sex schools and bilingual schools all a part of our network. Last year, we launched two new charter high schools that are continuing to grow in the coming school year: New Visions Charter High School for Humanities and The New Visions Charter High School for Advanced Math and Science. Additionally, we are thrilled to announce the opening of two additional New Visions Charter High Schools in September 2012.
Exemplary Teaching Matters. All New Visions principals seek to empower their team of teachers through professional development and leadership opportunities specific to small schools. Exclusive grants like the Fund for Teachers give teachers with three years of experience the opportunity to travel internationally to develop new lessons and curriculum to appeal to their students and revitalize their practice. Between our new and growing schools and our established, innovative schools, we hired over 300 teachers last year.
