Advanced Qualifications/Senior Level
The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and experience:
? Strong IPC's background (shared memory, message queues) and a strong networks background (UDP, Multicast, TCP) using Asynchronous IO.
? Knowledge of underlying Linux OS Design: Memory Allocation and Management, Paging, User-level Scheduling, Kernel-Thread Scheduling, Interrupt Handling. Experience in RTOS (a plus).
? Knowledge or Experience in Profiling applications and Linux OS, including but not limited to: memory management, cache misses, Intel Architecture (a plus), assembly (a plus). Experience with Linux Perf, OProfile, Valgrind Tools or Intel VTunes.

Trading Analyst Position

More infoA San Francisco leading-edge quantitative hedge fund with a pure-machine-learning approach is looking for an algorithmic developer with U.S. equity trading experience. This position is in San Francisco and you will be required to work U.S. trading hours.

Your primary responsibility will be developing the firm's execution algos. While the quants will identify potential Alpha, it will be your responsibility to decide how best to execute (and code) the algos to capture the Alpha. A secondary responsibility will be manually executing equities trades as required by the Portfolio Manager.

You will need the creative intellectual ability to contribute new ideas and to test and debug them in simulations, as well as the practical technical skills required to implement and maintain them under the stresses of live trading. This will include trade and algorithm analysis, monitoring, and collaboratively working to improve our systems overall.

Our preference is for an algo developer who has real trading experience either in running a trading system or as a discretionary/proprietary equities trader. This position is a great opportunity for an algo/trading systems developer to bring their knowledge of equities execution to a growing, cutting-edge quant team that is directly responsible for its own P&L.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? A passion for managing equity trades in a quantitative research environment.
? Comprehensive knowledge of equities, routing strategies, and exchange features (e.g. BATS vs. ARCA).
? Expert core Java development skills and at least one other scripting language (e.g. Python).
? Ability to work well under pressure and reduce firm's risk exposure quickly when necessary.
? Additional knowledge of commodities, swaps, options, and fixed-income securities preferred but not mandatory.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
? 3-5 years trading-related experience (this includes trading application development).
? 3+ years of Java development.
? Competent in other scripting language(s) (Python, Perl, PHP, etc.).
? Comfortable in Linux.
MINIMUM EDUCATION
? Bachelor's Degree in related field.

Not happy with your Trading Results-Seeking Futures Trading Intern??? (Upper West Side)

More infoI am looking for a reliable intern who is interested in learning how to trade the futures market or has tried and not been profitable. I can provide you free (self directed) training in return for your help with trade tracking, research, and manual back testing. You will get behind the scenes look and a free software license (valued @ $2500.00) should after the internship you wish to trade on your own. My system is low risk (you can make money on one contract) and simple to learn. I use the Ninja platform.

You will start by learning the system and tracking various trades and systems. This will consist of chart reviews and entering trades into an excel trade, taking screen shots, and posting results in blog and reporting to me. You will be following the indicators/strategies in real time to make sure they are performing correctly. Hours are from 8:40am to 11:30am

This is a remote position, but will occasionally require you come to Upper West Side for training, check in's, etc. The first week or so will be on site. This is in my home office.

Requirement: I am looking for an intern for a minimum of 3 month commitment
Starting Date: As soon as Possible

Qualities necessary for the internship:

Self Starter

EXCEL wizard
Working knowledge of Ninja Trader and MT4

Has an incredible attention to detail

Tech Savvy
Is a quick learner, proactive and resourceful
