- Quality control for both parts and completed pieces
- Occasional light industrial work, such as sanding or filing
- Stockroom organization and maintenance
- Some fabrication, as necessary

- Basic electrical & wiring experience is required
- Organizational & problem solving skills
- Working knowledge of shop math and design drawings
- Experience with many types of tools & materials
- Computer literate

Position is full time, 40 hours a week, independent contractor basis to start. If the fit is right, it will become a full time position with medical, dental & vision benefits.

Energy-efficient lighting company seeks an organized, motivated assistant to our sales team. We are a small, closely-held business in a rapidly growing industry. Our office is in an industrial warehouse in Brooklyn with no showroom. The bulk of our sales are B2B over the phone or directly online.

Duties include:

Customer support

Order entry and management

General record-keeping and administrative assistance

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, as this job mostly involves following up with clients, vendors and shippers. Candidate should have at least one year of customer service experience in a fast-paced administrative environment. Familiarity with electrical lighting systems and web-based sales tools are preferable, but we're willing to train someone with the right attitude and communication skills.

Lighting studio intern needed (Clinton Hill)

The hands-on internship is for at least 20-30 hours per week; pay is $10 per hour. Position offers a great opportunity to learn about lighting design, retail and e-commerce business, and custom manufacturing. Internship offers room to grow with the company into a full-time position.

Intern will be responsible for assisting with building projects; tracking inventory; ordering and organizing supplies; shipping/packaging including taking shipments to post office, UPS; running errands to supply stores; and, studio clean up.

We are seeking a reliable, hard-working individual who is a team player and can get along with co-workers, suppliers and customers. Senior candidate should be a career lighting designer. Be confident in your design skills, problem solver, ability to talk with clients, designers, engineers and everyone in between. MUST know how to make imagination a reality. Project management skills and a great love for your career. You will have support from junior designers but also be prepared to draft and work as a team. Knowledge and relationships with local reps is a bonus and experience finishing projects is essential.

Junior designer will report to a senior designer. MUST be an excellent draftsperson. ACAD 2013, AGI32, Adobe CS6, Revit is a bonus and will get you paid more! We have large screens and aeron chairs with the latest software.
