More infoBike and Roll NYC is searching Tour Guides for our upcoming season! Applicants should have a basic understanding of bike maintenance (i.e., fix a flat, adjust brakes, etc.) . You should especially be comfortable talking in front of groups of people, charismatic, outgoing, pleasant, well-spoken and have the ability to pick up and deliver facts about NYC history and current events quickly and accurately. We appreciate people who are flexible and like to work hard but have fun. It is definitely a benefit if you have guiding experience (especially in NYC) or other experience with public speaking/performance. Applicants need to be comfortable leading tours through NYC parks, over bridges, and through city streets. 1-2 years of tour guide experience preferred
Must be able to work at least 4 shifts a week
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary
