Assistant Teacher
Location: Westwood, NJ

Teacher Assistants should possess a strong desire to help create and foster a nurturing learning environment for all families. This caring individual works well in a team based environment, takes initiative yet can follow direction and follow-through with instructions from the lead teacher.

Must be reliable and dependable
Must be flexible and possess a positive attitude
Must be flexible and respond positively toward coaching and mentoring
Always be actively engaged with children - interacting, playing, and nurturing at all times
Maintain positive discipline approach in the classroom at all times
Communicates orally and in writing using grammatically correct English
Helps to maintain a safe and clean learning environment
Attends staff meeting, trainings and workshops
Abide by all state licensing policies and standards

Qualifications
Previous childcare experience
CDA Certification preferred
First Aid & CPR (or will attain)
Basic knowledge of Spanish & sign language helpful
