A leading, innovative medical research institution is seeking an experienced and motivated Systems Engineer with a strong understanding of a Windows environment. This is a new position on a fast growing, top-notch infrastructure team where driven individuals will move up quickly within the group. Required Skills/Background

? 5+ years working with disk storage systems at the server or SAN level
? 2+ years experience with NFS and CIFS network filesystems
? 2+ years experience with Fibre Channel SAN and experience with Brocade or Cisco MDS switches
? 2+ years experience supporting Windows and Linux/UNIX systems in a SAN environment
? Solid understanding of key storage concepts such as RAID, zoning, and multipathing
? Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including routing/switching and VLANs
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Motivation to grow and advance in the profession

Highly Desirable:

? Exposure to IBM storage technologies, including the Midrange Storage Series (DS4000/5000/6000), StorWize V7000, SONAS, and Tivoli Storage Manager
? Experience managing significant amounts (2+ petabytes) of data
? Experience integrating with Linux operating systems in a parallel computing (HPC) environment
? Experience working with policies for HSM and automated data tiering
? Experience administering scalable NAS systems such as BlueArc, Isilon, or IBM SONAS
? Experience using network monitoring technologies including SNMP
? Experience supporting VMware vSphere or any comparable virtualization technology
? Significant programming/scripting experience in any language.
