Expediter for Restaurant Kitchen (Flatiron)

More infoWe are looking for an Expediter in the kitchen to our new restaurant in the Flatiron district. Serving traditional Lebanese-Armenian Cuisine. The restaurant will seat up to 160 ppl. with bar and lounge.

We require a seasoned professional with a minimum of 3 years kitchen expediter experience in NYC. This position is very hands on and require a full time presence on the floor and be able to handle a high volume environment and should have a general knowledge of food.

This is a non-cooking role on the kitchen line. An expediter is responsible and in charge of organizing orders by table, communication link between the Front of the House (service team) and the Back of the House (kitchen team), and garnishing the dishes before the server takes them out to the dining room. The person who acts as an expeditor should be very familiar with the menu, and know what the dishes should look like before being served to guests. This staff member makes sure dishes move from kitchen to dining room in a coordinated, smooth and timely manner and they examine portioning and garnishing of the completed food order.
