Director of National Marketing (New York, NY)

As Director of National Marketing at Yodle, you will be blazing trails and creating one of the strongest online brands in the US - one dedicated to helping small and medium sized businesses acquire and retain new customers. You will be making an impact on our economy by making a big difference for the local business owner at scale. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of smart innovators who are passionate about solving a big problem. You will be the bridge between our National product offering and our sales force, and between our sales force and our customers. More specifically, you will be a key player in driving growth for our National business (Franchises, Multi-Location & Dealer/ Manufacturer Segments), and will be responsible for creating and building out the marketing support infrastructure for the National Sales Team. This support will include the crafting of messaging and positioning, the creation of sales collateral as well as strategic marketing initiatives to help the National Sales Team generate qualified leads and penetrate key accounts. The ideal candidate will be a creative marketing leader with strong business acumen and the ability to effectively draft, articulate, and execute a strategy for the National Marketing function.

Develop client acquisition marketing plans leveraging online and offline channels to support national sales teamExecute plans including budgeting, creative execution, campaign tracking, and post campaign analysisTarget key decision makers in large franchise and manufacturer organizations using innovative marketing tacticsAggressively test and roll out new marketing initiativesWork with sales, product, and product marketing to craft persuasive messaging and positioningDefine and execute on our national thought leadership program Work with product management to coordinate the launch of new products and ensure that the organization is ready to go-to-market with impactful messages and materialWork with national sales team and product marketing function to prioritize and create various pieces of sales collateral including "one-sheeters," sales decks, and RFPsCollaborate with sales and existing client base to plan and execute joint marketing initiatives in order to gain increased penetration into existing client organizationsDefine a customer retention strategy in collaboration with our professional service organization. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitors, and marketing best practicesWork with sales department to elicit feedback used to optimize marketing initiativesDirectly manage 1-2 reports
7+ years of marketing experience with at least 3+ years of that experience being in an "enterprise" sales environment4+ years of experience managing direct reportsExperience marketing to franchises is a plusExperience working for a digital company is a plusWorking knowledge of both online and offline marketing channels including direct mail, SEM, online display, and SEOCreative thinker with the ability to come up with "out of the box" marketing ideasEntrepreneurial, take-charge attitudeLeader with the ability to work well across departmentsExtremely adept interpersonal and verbal communication skillsExcellent writerComfortable with quantitative analysisStrong ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesStrong organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Bachelor's degree required
