More infoSOHO Solutions Inc. is a growing information technology company that provides IT services for small and mid-sized businesses in the New York metropolitan area. We are looking for an experienced (5-7 years) Microsoft Certified IT professional to provide onsite and remote support to our clients. This is a full time position. Health benefits and 401(k) are available after a probationary period.

You must have experience troubleshooting desktop, server, firewall, router, software and general network problems and experiece in implementing new technology solutions. The position is challenging and is not an entry level position -- five to seven years of experience is required. Project deadlines or emergency service will require working evening or weekends when needed.

The position requires outstanding interpersonal, communication and planning/decision making skills, along with the ability to accurately and thoroughly document the time and tasks conducted during technical service delivery.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys working with people and is able to articulate technical problems into layman's terms for customers who are not technical. You must be capable of dealing with stressful situations and be able to interact with clients in a confident and reassuring manner when problems arise. Candidates must also demonstrate the ability to write clearly and effectively.

Requirements
Candidates must have at least 5 years of overall experience including 3 years field experience working with server and desktop operating systems. You must have experience working with clients to determine their needs and providing technical solutions to meet their needs, including the ability to implement solutions.

A car is required to fulfill the duties of the position -- candidates must possess their own automobile insurance, have access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license without any outstanding tickets or violations. Travel expenses are reimbursed.

Required Skill Set
? Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 2003, Windows Server 2008, SQL Server, Exchange Server 2007/2010, and IIS
? Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards
? Strong knowledge of firewall and VPN technologies
? Experience in Windows system administration, configuration and scripting
? Experience with Hyper-V and other virtualization technologies
? Experience with Apple OSX
? Understanding of project managements principles
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Highly motivated and self-directed (can set schedule/priorities and multi-task)
? Quick, effective troubleshooting methods
? Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
? Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preference will be given to individuals who have certifications and experience with the following:
? Cisco Switches & Routers
? Symantec Backup Exec
? Symantec EndPoint Protection
? SonicWALL devices

Preference will be given to individuals who possess the following certifications:
? MCSA, MCSE, MCP (any Windows server product)
? CCNA
? Network +
