Position Requirements:
? 2 years experience within a New York City fine dining restaurant required.
? Proficient in all aspects of dining service.
? Able to quickly integrate into a team and be recognized as a leader.
? Passion for food, wine and service.
? Must have strong sense of urgency.
? Must have superior communication skills (written and verbal).
? Must have basic computer and math skills.
? Impeccable service standards, clean work habits and attention to detail.
? Ability to multitask in a high volume environment while always maintaining calm and a sense of humor.
? Proven ability to lead others and positively influence employee behavior.
? Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.
Primary Duties:
? Maintain integrity of service, visit tables while on the floor to maintain/build customer relations and collect feedback.
? Ensure ambiance of restaurant. Maintain details such as music, lighting and flowers, etc in compliance with the standards of the company.
? Train FOH staff in accordance with the standards of company policies and guidelines, ensuring proper knowledge of all company policies and procedures, rules and regulations.
? Constantly evaluate front of house staff.
? Assists in training and evaluating all dining room personnel and enforces food and beverage policies and procedures.
? Ensures sanitation compliance throughout restaurant.
? Assist on the floor when necessary.
