Handyman - Lock, Door & Security Specialist (South Bronx)

Hanging doors (metal and wood)
Installing door bucks/frames
Installing/repairing the following:
-Mag locks
-Panic bars
-Detex bars
-Motion sensors
-Door release mechanisms
-Gates and hinges
-Intercoms (installing, repairing, programming dialers, repairing low voltage wiring)
-All types of door and gate hardware
Installing and troubleshooting computer networks (cabling experience (cat 5/6 etc. is a must))
Installing and troubleshooting security cameras and DVRs
Working with access control systems (key fobs, key fob readers, access control databases such as Keyscan/Keri)

It is imperative that candidates have detailed knowledge of the NYC maintenance code and applicable laws related to security and locking mechanisms.

Candidates must have their own tools and transportation, and be willing to respond to emergency situations 24/7. The successful candidate must pass a detailed background check.

This is a full-time position with benefits and the potential for overtime.
