ORGANIZATION: Boutique Law Firm with over 40 Attorneys

COMPENSATION: Base up to $55,000 - $65,000 plus benefits, vacation, personal days and more

HOURS: 9:30am -- 5:30pm

LOCATION: Midtown Manhattan -- New York City, NY

SUMMARY:

A boutique law firm is looking for an Immigration Paralegal with extensive business immigration filing experience. Someone who is able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with competing demands, possesses excellent communication skills, takes initiative to identify priorities and is able to manage caseload with a large degree of independence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform intake and assist with review and management of files
• Craft job descriptions, post advertisements, track and record applicants and prepare recruitment reports in compliance with current U.S. Department of Labor standards
• Obtain prevailing wage information from surveys or the NPWC
• Prepare and file Applications for Permanent Employment Certification, ETA Form 9089
• Prepare and electronically file labor condition applications (LCA) for non-immigrant workers, Form ETA 9035E
• Prepare and submit immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions to USCIS (H-1B, I-485, I-140, I-90, I-129, I-130, I-131, I-751, I-765, I-864, and N-400
• Maintain all supporting documentation for PERM Audit and RFE responses
• Calendar and track all submissions, timelines, due dates and application/visa lifecycles
• Obtain and verify necessary employment verification documents for Form I-9
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of business immigration experience within a law firm or corporate legal department
• Possesses strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and client processes
• Demonstrated experience drafting RFEs and PERM Audit responses, and drafting and filing large volumes of immigrant and non-immigrant petitions
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; Permanent Online System, iCERT, USCIS, ICE, O*NET OnLine, OWL
• Strong communication and client relation skills
• Bachelor's degree

Mid size Immigration Law Firm Seeking Immigration Law Professionals with Basic Knowledge and at least 1+ year, but preferably 2-4, up to 7 years of experience with an immigration law firm or similar situation.
