Choice Pet Supply is seeking friendly and reliable full time Retail Sales Associates to join our growing team of professionals in our new Plainview, NY location (381 South Oyster Bay Rd. Plainview New York 11803.)

Sales Associates are responsible for generating sales, delivering a positive customer experience, and for a variety of operational duties as assigned by the store management team. We have a "promote from within" philosophy that provides growth opportunities for all our employees.

Previous experience in retail and/or working with animals preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a full time position. Due to the specialized nature of our industry this is a long term position and is not compatible with school schedules. Weekends and reliable transportation are required. Additional requirements include the following:

Greet customers immediately upon entering the store and create a positive first impression.
Assess customer needs and provide courteous, helpful and knowledgeable service throughout the store.
Facilitate a superior check out experience.
Participate in other operational activities.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Enjoys working with animals and people.
Is team oriented and flexible.
Works well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
Is punctual and adheres to designated work schedules.
Has some previous customer service experience.
Is a high school graduate or the equivalent.
Has the ability to lift a box or bag of up to 50 lbs and can stand for an entire shift.
