Healthcare Communications company seeks Director, Human Resources.

The Director, Human Resources works closely with executive leadership in a senior generalist role to manage all aspects of the Human Resources function. Key areas of focus will be Recruitment, Retention, and Talent Development.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Provide hands-on leadership and counsel across multiple functional areas of HR including employment law, payroll, benefits, employee relations, and recruiting
- Develop and administer best-practice policies to support Company goals and objectives
- Manage employee relations, performance management, executive and staff development processes
- Act as a strategic consultant on industry trends, the competitive environment, and internal compliance requirements. Research legal issues to ensure that Company policies and procedures are compliant with Federal and State laws.
- Manage effective employee relations, including consulting with staff and managers on progressive discipline, training, coaching, and overall support across a broad variety of issues.
- Ensure best-practice sourcing, assessment, selection and tracking for the overall recruitment
- Manage and oversee payroll and benefits administration, implementation, and compliance as needed, including competitive intelligence in these areas.

Knowledge/ Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 10+ years of HR generalist experience in a mid-sized communications organization
- Healthcare communications, pharmaceutical advertising, or related experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Demonstrated HR generalist expertise across multiple functional areas
- Outstanding communication and coaching skills
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects
- Excellent people management skills
- Ability to develop outstanding positive internal and external relationships
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
