E-Commerce Application Developer- - $100K+ Compensation Package

Contrix Inc. is the leading interactive technology agency working within the publishing industry. The company's core profits are derived from various programs that market/transact print magazine subscriptions to consumers. We are seeking to rapidly expand the number of developers employed to participate in some large new projects centered on digital content distribution and recurring billing solutions for the digital content providers (and yes, of course help support existing technologies).

Daily Responsibilities:

Developing innovative/efficient/elegant technology solutions.Architecting, developing and implementing e-Commerce and digital content distribution solutions in ASP.NET (4.0 Framework)Performance tuning and optimizing the web site applications and databases to ensure maximum availability, performance, and effectivenessDocumenting, testing, and executing software test plans (unit and integration testing)Documentation of code, processes, procedures both in-code and separate business-level documentsSupporting quality assurance testing and production installationsManaging a list of enhancement projects and ensuring leadership is fully apprised of statusLeading enhancement projects and web site releasesProviding 3rd-level help desk support and debugging and resolving application issuesFormulating and driving development standards and recommendations to ensure site performanceInterfacing with business customers to gather and document business and system requirementsCreating analysis and design documents

Must Have Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Confident/Organized/Self Starting Multi-Tasker.BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 4 years programming with .NET framework, ASP.NET, Web Services, SOAP, and XMLMinimum 4 years programming in ASP, SQL, Visual Basic and/or C#, MS SQL Server 2005Minimum 2 years experience with Web and UI development using HTML, DHTML, JavaScriptExperience with Microsoft development tools

Plus Skills:

MS/MBA in Computer-related or Engineering-related fieldKnowledge of PHP, or other server-side web-scripting languagesKnowledge of Flash, ActionScript, VBScript, and CSSKnowledge of SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008Knowledge of ASP.NET Framework 3.0, 3.5, 4.0Experience with versioning tools (Visual SourceSafe, Subversion, CVS, Tortoise)
