Owner of established fashion jewelry brand and multi-line showroom seeks skilled and ambitious bilingual manager
About Us:
We sell to fashionable boutiques, specialty shops, and fine retailers all around the world, including Anthropologie, Free People, the W Hotels International, Isetan (Japan), United Arrows (Japan) and Tomorrowland (Japan). Additionally, we have a successful multi-line jewelry, accessories, and fashion showroom in Tokyo and manage much of the buying and receiving out of our New York office.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled, highly organized, and experienced manager to manage a small department. Responsibilities include directing a small team, finding new accessory and fashion designers for the Japanese market, communicating with Tokyo office and handling light human resources and administrative duties, such as payroll. Must be motivated, work with high efficiency, and be able to multi-task fluidly.
Requirements:
+ A working VISA
+ Bilingual in Japanese and English with the ability to speak, read, and write well in both languages
+ Strong computer skills, proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, and knowledge or ability to learn QuickBooks
+ Great communication skills and the ability to take direction well
+ Knowledge and/or experience in the fashion, jewelry, or accessories industry is strongly preferred
Things to Know:
Must be able to start immediately and commit to working full time in our office. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Compensation shall be commensurate with experience.
