Travel Reimbursement? & MoreThe Word Processing Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of a team of word processors, document specialists, distribution assistants, and proofreaders.?Work involves coordinating and delegating word processing work assignments received from 10 offices worldwide to members of the Word Processing team.Responsible for performing other essential administrative functions such as implementation of procedures, records management, and work performance evaluations.Accommodate all word processing requests for work taking into consideration assigning the work to the appropriate staff and monitoring the work throughout the shift in an effort to meet critical deadlinesProvides guidance to staff on how best to complete assignments with hardware/software available at the firmTroubleshoots problematic documentsRecords all work request information in log bookEnsures that shift is staffed accordingly to accommodate at desk requestsAnswers the telephone and gives information to callers, assists with work requests, and routes calls, if necessaryComposes and prepares correspondence relating to work requests or personnel issuesRecords and maintains employee attendance informationFiles correspondence and other Word Processing Department recordsPrepares end of shift status reportAssists other departments during off hours with conflict searches, conference room reservations, travel reservations, computer support backup, Edgar requests, Graphics overflow, taxi reservations, food audits, and client requests.?Prepares, presents, and follows-up on staff evaluationsIdentifies problems with performance and develops solutions to those problemsAttends departmental meetings as necessaryMonitors temps and ensures that paperwork is accurate and completeUnderstands and implements policies, procedures, and practices in a fair and positive mannerRegularly monitors the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work requestsProvides professional customer service to lawyers and other individuals at the firm and serves as a point of contact for information concerning office services and responds to inquiries within established guidelinesMinimum of 10 years of work experience in a Word Processing Department with 5 years of hands-on Word Processing supervisory experience.?
