The team-member will operate on a daily basis at top management level, develop relationships with top executives of listed companies and close investor relations and other services sales for the firm.
The position will require the team member to be sales-oriented, to have an understanding of and an interest for investor relations, project finance and corporate finance, capital market structures and trends, as well as the capacity to gather and analyze financial information and general news as it relates to financial information. The position also requires qualities of persistence and politeness and other usual hallmarks of good business development practices.
Specifically, the position requires the following:
- Prior experience in the financial services industry is absolutely essential
- Some type of prior experience in sales is important
- A high level of organization and a high level of precision in deliverables are essential
- A capacity to multi-task and to keep count of multiple streams of information at once is essential
- A capacity for autonomy as well as a capacity to interact and participate within the team are essential
- Skills related to and interest for attending conferences and meetings in and around NYC, social skills and interest for meeting new people, including making two to three hours of phone calls every day
- 40 to 50 hours a week
The compensation for this position is competitive and potential is uncapped: base + healthcare + commissions on sales as well as renewals of services.
