Marketing consultant seeks a part time (5-10 hours/week) social media intern to work behind the scenes to learn the trade and help promote our client's businesses. Some in person meetings and trainings will be required in Brooklyn, the bulk of the work will be completed in your home or office. Qualified applicants possess strong written and verbal communication skills, able to select relevant images, have a working knowledge of wordpress, facebook, twitter and linkedin, a strong work ethic, the ability to follow direction but also work independently. Good computer skills including basic photo manipulation required. Must be organized and efficient.
May lead to a paid position for the right person.
Responsibilities include:
Time/task tracking.
Writing and editing of blog posts, facebook and twitter posts.
Selection of relevant, non copyrighted images.
The ability to distill concepts and ideas down into pithy sentences/messages.
A basic understanding of marketing and messaging.
