Our primary mission is to identify needs and create solutions for homeless people with psychiatric disabilities. Our programs include over 950 units of supportive housing in three boroughs, the Howie T. Harp Peer Advocacy Center, East Village Access--a PROS-licensed training program, and the Art Collective.

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of
PROGRAM DIRECTOR
to work in our housing division, located at
1710 Vyse Avenue, Bronx, NY

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week; base salary starts at 70k, with an excellent benefits package.

Position Overview
The Program Director is responsible for the management of all facets of the program including: establishing and maintaining an environment for residents and staff that is consistent with agency values; implementing and supporting a recovery oriented service model that values human dignity and promotes hope; overseeing the day-to-day operations; the planning, evaluation and adjustment of service delivery to meet resident needs; maintaining appropriate staffing including recruitment, and providing on-going training; scheduling and supervising staff; ensuring that the program is in compliance with relevant regulations; monitoring maintenance of the physical plant; providing 24 hour emergency coverage for emergencies; collaborating with other agency departments; and developing and maintaining relationships with community members and organizations.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a commitment to recovery oriented practice; Masters degree in related field, preferred; must have a minimum of three (3) years working in housing with people who have a history of homelessness/substance abuse/psychiatric diagnosis, etc.; must have previous supervisory experience; must be fingerprinted and cleared by the Office of Mental Health (OMH); knowledge of psychiatric disabilities, substance abuse, and harm reduction; experience working in NYSOMH licensed housing, preferred; demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work as part of a team; Bilingual Spanish-speaking, preferred.
