We are looking for a freelance Interaction Designer. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years experience working in the interactive industry, preferably within an agency and/or digital environment.

The interaction designer will help develop the information architecture and interactions for all web, product, and online projects. The interaction designer is responsible for looking at the project and understanding exactly who the users are, what their goals and behaviors are, and what would make the best user experience for those people. The interaction designer takes that understanding and maps out site structure and site interaction needs to create an intuitive, user-centric, and complete approach that the rest of the project team can anchor their thinking to and build upon.

Responsibilities:

Determine a product's mandate, feature set, and business requirements
Research the project space and participate in user testing or fieldwork
Develop user personas, scenarios of use, interaction models
Create wireframes, site maps, and functional prototypes
Detailed documentation of feature behavior and functionality
Collaborate with the larger project team to execute things through the build and development process

Requirements/Qualifications:

Proven, hands-on ability to apply the methodologies of interaction design to projects within the online and mobile space.
2+ years experience designing and documenting large-scale web-based and mobile projects.
Passion for technology, emerging interaction innovations, and user experience best practices
Expert knowledge of Omnigraffle or other common tool for generating wireframes and behavior specifications
Solid writing and visual communication skills
Balanced right & left brain thinker (i.e. creative & intuitive + systematic & detailed)
