Ten person Midtown Manhattan Law Firm is looking for a part time book keeper and office manager. This person must be very organized and willing to learn all sides of the business.
Accounting duties will include:
-Perform day to day general ledger functions
-A/P (enter and pay all bills)
-A/R (generate invoices, collect rent checks, and make bank deposits)
-Process payroll
-Bank and credit card reconciliations
-Prepare financial statements for all entities
-Work with CPA firm to prepare tax returns
Office management duties will include:
-Order supplies as needed
-Maintain all office needs
-Maintain the upkeep of the office
-All clerical/administrative functions as needed
Required:
-4 year college degree
-*Must have knowledge of QuickBooks, MS office Excel & Word, Billing, A/P, A/R, Bank Recs, Computer Skills
-Excellent problem solving skills
-Excellent organizational skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills
*We are willing to train a candidate with an exceptional academic record willing to make a long term commitment to the firm.
The position will be part time to start (about 20 hours per week), but can easily expand beyond that depending on talent and desire to learn.
The hourly rate will depend on how much training you require. The range is $25-40 per hour.
As part of the job you will hone your accounting skills, and learn to manage a small business.
