COMPENSATION: Hourly Rate up to $40 plus partial benefits package

HOURS: Saturday & Sunday, 5:00PM -- 12:00AM

LOCATION: New York, NY

THE ORGANIZATION: Global Law Firm

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure the accurate and efficient completion of all documents submitted for processing in the Center to the satisfaction of attorneys and other users
• Assist in creating, formatting, revising and proofreading jobs submitted to the Center
• Troubleshoot document and/or technical inquiries
• Communicate to the Supervisor any and all issues relating to operation, staffing and other problems that may affect the efficient workflow in the Center
• Extensive typing (either from handwritten notes, Dictaphone tapes, digital dictation, or pre-typed drafts), formatting and revising legal documents
• Ensure that jobs processed in the Center are proofread and quality-controlled before sending them back to the attorneys
• Operate and have thorough knowledge of all equipment and software in the Center
• Attend training required and/or offered by the Firm
• Coordinate the assignment of overtime or temporary help
• Maintain accurate records in call tracking system

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 4+ years of word processing experience in a large law firm WP Center
• Systems Required: iManage, Microsoft Word 7.0, PowerPoint 7.0, Excel 7.0, Adobe Acrobat, Nuance PDF, Workshare Compare, Best Authority, DocXTools, Olympus DSS, Legiant, and Carpe Diem
• Knowledge of Visio and EdgarEase a plus
• Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must accurately type a minimum of 60 wpm or higher
• Ability to work overtime as needed

We are an Australian family living in Gramercy Park and looking for someone to look after our two girls aged 6 and 9 on Fridays and Saturday on a regular basis, as well as help with some house keeping, cleaning, tidying and organizing around the house. There would be a summer hiatus, so pretty solid work for the next four months.

The hours would be:

5-midnight Fri - Sat (babysitting) sometimes later.
5-8pm Sun (tidying and organising)
9 - 3 Wed (cleaning, house keeping)

$20 an hour (not cash in hand)
