Our Client, operating an Educational Facility located in Midtown NYC, is looking for an 'Manager' to oversee all of the Mechanical Systems in the facility.

Title: Manager for Engineering Systems

Summary of Position:

? Maintenance, repair and construction of the HVAC equipment and systems, automatic temperature control and building management systems.
? Management of various repair and maintenance contracts with regard to water treatment, HVAC, elevators, etc.
? Supervision of union maintenance personnel in various shops, hiring, training and managing associated labor issues.
? Coordination between Facilities Management and Construction Management with regard to major capital projects.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

? Operation and maintenance of the physical plant
? Management, development and monitoring and of the building management system
? Management of the automatic temperature control systems
? Management of HVAC system and equipment repair, rehabilitation and replacement projects
? Management of water treatment systems and programs
? Responsible for all HVAC and related contracts
? Supervise union maintenance personnel
? Other related duties

Requirements/Qualifications/Experience & Skills

? At least ten years' experience in facilities management, maintenance and operation of similar buildings is required.
? Thorough knowledge of automatic temperature controls
? Management experience with all phases of repair and construction projects
? Knowledge of water treatment systems
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required
Bachelor Degree of Mechanical Engineering
