Rapidly growing manufacturing company located in College Point, Queens seeks Network Engineer/Data Base Administrator.
Requirements include, but not limited to:
Microsoft SQL Database administration (SQL Server 2000 or 2005)
This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in a database implementation or support role using Microsoft SQL Server.
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, technical judgment, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent knowledge and experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2005 including TSQL, DTS packages, Replication, SQL Profiler, SQL Agent scheduling, query plans and other analytical tools.
Become skilled in the various ERP modules, including Purchasing, Finance, Sales/Distribution, Quality and Manufacturing.
Train new employees on ERP/MRP system and guide current users in resolving issues. Knowledge of Crystal Reports, Job Boss highly desirable
Service and Maintenance of Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, SQL Server 2000
Installing and/or upgrading security hardware (CCTV, access control, Extend Phantom recording system, Sony DVR, PC Anywhere 11.0)
Installing VPN, firewalls and blocking attacks from outside
Analyzing and optimization of LAN (3 buildings 8 switches (HP, 3Com, Cisco, Dell))
Hardware and software support for Nortel Norstar and Cisco IPCC phone systems
Technical Support to staff for any hardware and software problems
Administration, integration and preparation of reports from ACT, Sales Logix 2005, Peachtree Complete Accounting 2003, CardScan 7, JobBoss 8.1
Administration of network, groups, users' rights and security
Updating antiviral programs on a daily basis and providing critical updates on Microsoft products
Implementing Corporate Solutions for Blackberry and PDA's.
