POSITION DESCRIPTION
Yak Academy teaches world language to children ages 1-10 through immersion and play-based classes. Classes use games, crafts, songs, movement and more to teach the language in an immersion environment (no English spoken). The company is looking for a dynamic, Spanish native-speaking individual who loves working with children! As a Preschool Lead, you will be responsible for implementing activities and curriculum that promote the language development of the children, as well as their social, physical, and intellectual growth in general. Communicates directly with parents. Maintains classroom records of assessment. Responsible for all daily setup and cleaning of the preschool rooms.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE
? Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and/or BS or BA required
? Degree in Early Childhood Education or related area highly desirable
EXPERIENCE
? 2+ years of early childhood education experience desirable
? 1+ years of experience working with assigned age group desirable
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Native Spanish speaker
- Passionate about working with Children (prior experience as a preschool assistant a plus)
- High-energy and positive attitude
- Highly dependable
- Legal working status
- Available Monday 12pm-4pm, Wednesdays 12pm-5:30pm
HOURS
Part-Time ONLY
This position is for 9-10 hours per week.
