A rapidly growing commercial lending institution located in Manhattan has an immediate need for a Senior Payroll Administrator. The ideal candidate will have related experience processing corporate payrolls and has familiarity with ADP or similar payroll systems.
Process bi-weekly payrolls for 140 employees by maintaining time records and compiling payroll information. Interact in a professional manner with employees and managers with regards to payroll inquiries, data entry and reports.
? Update records by reviewing and entering changes in exemptions, deductions, paid-time off, status and pay
? Prepare payroll by verifying time records, calculating and producing checks or electronic transfers
? Calculate bi-weekly commission payments for the sales team
? Balance payroll accounts by auditing information, identifying and resolving discrepancies
? Determine payroll liabilities by entering federal and state income and social security tax information
? Administer direct deposits, wage assignments and garnishments
? Fulfill wage garnishment requirements by completing forms and adjusting payroll
? Support employee recruitment activities, as needed
? 2 - 4 years related HR experience
? Knowledge of time and attendance records
? Knowledge of payroll regulations and state/local withholding
? Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
? Bachelor's degree and/or CPP designation
? Ability to maintain confidential information
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task
