The cook applying for this position should be versed on all stations, this is not a line cooking situation, you will work all stations. You are not going to be asked to do more than is possible but we all work very hard and when the kitchen isn't busy and you are not supervised texting and talking on your phone is unacceptable. Also, if you complain constantly or have a bad attitude at work please do not apply. We get along well in the kitchen, we will continue to do so.
This is an immediate hire position, send an email and I will get back to you soon. This is going to be a 30-35 hr position, possibly reducing to 25-30 after football season is over so this is a good second job. I will bring potential employees in for an interview and short skills assessment and go from there. Again, if you know yourself to be uneasy to get along with you may last a week but once we have issues you will be asked to leave.
There is also room for creativity and learning potential for young cooks. You also must have your NYC Food Handlers Card or be in the process of getting it.
