Sales + Design: Custom Metal and Wood Fabrication (Flatiron)

Reporting directly to the CEO, and working from our New York office, this new role will focus on expanding our brand awareness in custom metal and wood fabrication for the local architecture and design community. This role will be tasked with delivering self-directed sales and marketing efforts that focus on architects, designers, general contractors, retailers and hospitality brands and that are supported by our internal technical team. This role will need to create strong relationships and business opportunities by delivering creative, flexible and dynamic fabrication solutions to meet the design challenges of our clients.

In addition to supporting new business development opportunities for custom fabrication, this role will also actively market our growing offering of standard products. These products are marketed to the same customer base of design driven clients that identify us as a potential partner for custom fabrication.

Success in this role will come from a deep creative interest in the markets that we serve and a driving intellectual curiosity into our fabrication process. While this is a business development role, our projects have a high level of complexity and thus ideal candidates will need to have a working knowledge of the design and fabrication process, a deep understanding of materials and trends, a genuine interest in selling and demonstrated creative and technical problem-solving skills.

Applicants must possess the following:
? Ability to read architectural prints and detailed shop drawings
? Ability to create lasting interpersonal relationships built on trust and respect
? Strong organizational and communication skills
? Demonstrated ability in new business development among a similar market or customer base
? A minimum of 7 years work experience in a sales, customer service or business development
? Fluent in the office suite of products
