The GENERATOR team within Sony DADC is responsible for creating customer-facing applications and web experiences that allow entertainment brands and media assets to connect directly to fans. In a rapidly evolving digital space, the group is responsible for exploring new opportunities and defining the future of digital discovery and consumption. The GENERATOR network supports hundreds of web properties, generates millions of dollars in revenue, and spans platforms such as ecommerce, mobile distribution, artist websites, social networking, media streaming, and more.

The focus of this position is to plan and execute tests on a platform level to ensure we are developing our products at the highest possible quality. As we develop new enhancements to our existing platforms and produce new platforms entirely, this person will be responsible for working in an agile fashion to ensure the products meet our strict quality standards.

Position Responsibilities
    ·        Perform functional tests for scope and end-to-end system tests.
    ·        Create and execute test plans/cases around new and existing business requirements and technical specifications.
    ·        Troubleshoot with development team and Product Managers to reproduce, identify, and resolve issues; be able to clearly communicate defects within bug tracking system.
    ·        Perform regression and ad-hoc testing of system components potentially affected by system changes.
    ·        Effectively estimate and scope quality assurance tasks for future projects.
    ·        Actively participate in daily Scrum and project planning meetings.
    ·        Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to analyze detailed business requirements.
    ·        Proactively raise questions and seek resolution of outstanding clarifications required for test case identification.
    ·        Demonstrate strong time management skills, prioritization, and an ability to multi-task (e.g.: manage multiple test assignments).
    ·        Report regularly to QA Manager on test progress, blockages, and any changes in scope.

Requirements
    BS and/or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical work experience
    5+ years of Web Application Quality Assurance Experience
    Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and QA processes and test methodologies
    Must have excellent verbal and written skills and be able to communicate effectively on both a technical and professional level
    Previous experience of test automation design and implementation or managing such effort from concept to completion is a plus
    Agile testing experience
    API testing experience
    Automation testing experience
    Web application testing experience
    User Acceptance testing experience
    Cross-browser testing experience
    Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Developer background a plus
    Knowledge of Drupal CMS a plus
    Knowledge of Wordpress CMS a plus
    PHP experience a plus
    Ruby On Rails experience a plus
