Title:Personal/ Family Assistant
Description: Summary:
Busy executive couple seeks personal/ family assistant to help with household and personal activities. This is a 40 hour a week position that requires some flexibility on hours, but would generally follow an 8 hour per day, 5 day per week schedule. The children will be with the family 2-3 days a week (and with the other custodial parents the other days).

Schedule:
Mon- Fri, 11am- 7pm; occasional requests to house-sit and take care of pets while family is traveling (30 nights per year) and occasional requests for weekend help (1x per month for up to 8 hours) or an early morning driving shift (2x per month)

Children:
5 children, aged 16 (G), 15 (B), 15 (G), 15 (G), and 11 (G)

Requirements:
Ideal candidate will be very detail oriented, have advanced computer skills including being competent with Apple-based products (iPhone, iPad, Mac) and software programs (Excel, Word and -based services), efficient and able to multitask, clean driving record, no allergies to cats or dogs, ability to go to Sonoma home once per month, speak and write excellent English. Car will be provided (2005 Honda Accord) for use while working. College degree preferred and experience with teenage children required.

Compensation:
$25- 35/ hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Description:
General errand running (dry cleaning, shopping)
Organizing home office, pantry, closets, bathroom drawers, refrigerator and other areas of home
Pick up mail from post office and home, sort and open mail related to household management
Grocery and household shopping to keep pantry stocked and well organized
Meal planning and cooking; ordering and pick-up of take-out
Pet care on a daily basis including shots and pet sitting when the family is away
Communicate with housekeeping service, handyman, gardener
Light household assistance (assist with laundry, dishes, supervising housekeeper and other non-cleaning). This would primarily entail kitchen clean up 1-3x per week either at night after dinner or left upon arrival.
Driving kids to/ from various activities
Maintain outside sports equipment--balls and tires pumped, etc.
Assisting in planning, organization of parties and other events
Decorating house for holidays, as well as birthdays and other parties
Prepare for family travel as it occurs---helping kids pack, stocking toiletry bags, etc.
Personal, family, and gift shopping.
Arranging complex travel arrangements and itineraries
Booking personal appointments and managing the household calendar
Sign-up and scheduling of the children's activities, doctor's appointments and camps
Review calendar from day to day and plan pick up and carpool strategy for 5 children and their after school activities in Marin and San Francisco
Maintain various household documents- such as weekly schedule spreadsheet, etc.
Organize photos and videos as taken, and complete various projects with them (framing for home, posting online, etc.)
