This position is responsible for and will manage new product development and continuous current product improvement for raw frozen doughs, savory fillings and hors d'oeuvres for frozen food manufacturer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all new product development while keeping costs and manufacturing capabilities in mind at all times,
Organize product presentations, record notes and log information,
Improve existing products or efficiencies,
Develop working relationship with suppliers,
Keep abreast of current trends,
Cost new products.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Culinary Degree. Will consider Baking and Pastry Degree if have prior savory experience,
Minimum 2 years experience in R&D helpful, but not necessary, dependent upon other experience,
Knowledge of pastry doughs and savories a must,
Ability to take products from bench top to production,
Innovative, highly organized, articulate individual with ability to develop quality, on-trend items and to capture and record testing data,
Food Science background helpful,
In depth knowledge of food ingredients and their effects on final outcome of the products,
Working knowledge of all office software,
Prior costing experience a plus,
Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus.
