Some basic job roles -
> Run through each shipment, trace and update the client of their shipment's status.
> If there are any problems regarding a shipment, it is your duty to research and offer solutions to the client.
> Bill the shipments on time upon completion of the transaction.
> Ensure that payment is made upon billing.
> Answer incoming phone calls
> General office duties, including (but not limited to) data entry, filing, maintaining and ordering office supplies.
Required skills for this position include:
> Must be computer literate, with strengths in Outlook and Excel (data entry)
> Must have exceptional customer service skills, with a strong ability to clearly communicate with clients via phone and e-mail
> Must be able to maintain clerical neatness and accuracy in reports. An eye for detail is key
> Must be able to prioritize the day's tasks and complete each task in a timely manner.
Prior office and/or customer service experience strongly preferred.
High School Diploma required.
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus but not required.
The position is for MON through FRI 9 am to 5 pm.
Office is located in the Springfield Gardens / Jamaica area -- near Springfield Gardens DMV office.
Closest public transportation is all by bus: Q-111; Q-113; B-3; Q-6.
