The Taproot Foundation is a volunteer organization that builds teams of marketing and creative services, strategy management, human resources, and information technology professionals to work on projects for local nonprofits. Oversee a team of highly skilled professionals who are doing pro bono work to help a local nonprofit increase its impact while gaining visibility in the nonprofit sector.
As a Taproot Foundation volunteer, you will have the chance to work with a local nonprofit organization specializing in one of the following issue areas:

Technology Project Managers Needed
The Taproot Foundation is currently recruiting Project Managers for our Salesforce Database and Website projects:
? The Project Manager on our Salesforce Database projects has experience overseeing the work of software developers and should feel comfortable discussing data migration concepts on a technical level with the specialists. They are the primary point of contact with the nonprofit client during the course of the project and they are responsible for the overall success of the project. The Project Manager owns the schedule and coordinates all the communication for the team. A successful Project Manager volunteer has three or more years of experience leading technical teams in database projects and strategic marketing and creative teams to deliver branding, print, and/or website projects. It is highly desirable for the Project Manager to have direct experience with Salesforce.
? The Project Manager on our Website projects has experience managing cross functional teams including copywriters, graphic designers and web developers, and should be able to discuss technical concepts with the specialists. They should have experience working with a variety of design tools (Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, etc.), and general CMS experience. Project managers are the primary point of contact with the nonprofit client during the course of the project and they are responsible for the overall success of the project; they own the schedules and coordinate all communications for their teams. A successful Project Manager volunteer has two or more years of experience leading cross-functional teams to create a website.
Each Taproot Foundation project lasts 5 - 6 months with volunteers committing 3 - 5 hours of their time each week, often virtually.
