Brinkley's, a fast paced, 80-seat, Soho neighborhood bar and eatery serving a modern American / English menu utilizing locally-sourced ingredients and NY-state wines and beers, seeks an energetic Shift Manager to join this growing company. Additionally, we are opening a location in Midtown East in the coming weeks.

The Role
We are looking to hire a Shift Manager responsible for evening shifts to be divided at both our locations (Soho and newly opening Midtown East). The Shift Manager is responsible for monitoring service on the floor during his or her scheduled shift. In addition to enforcing company standards and employee conduct, the Shift Manager sets the bar in customer service through positive guest interaction and experience. With constant awareness of the vibe in the room, from the lighting and sound, to guest water levels and staff positioning, this is a crucial role in our company's success. Operational duties include closing out registers and staff daily. Additionally, he/she will seamlessly handle kitchen issues that arise during the shift. The Shift Manager will maintain a set schedule of five shifts / week, and will report to the Head of Operations.

The Requirements
The successful candidate must have a minimum three years of New York City FOH restaurant experience. He/she must possess not only strong food and beverage knowledge but also exceptional service and floor skills. Experience in a high volume restaurant is ideal, particularly during evening hours. Additionally, the finalist candidate must be self-motivated, exceptionally driven and demonstrate initiative and accountability. This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop a career in NYC Hospitality, with the opportunity to grow into a bigger role as the company grows. Knowledge of Micros systems and Schedule Fly ideal. Supporting references are required and will be checked.
