Project Supervisors are responsible for standard to slightly advanced applications and possible some related phased applications. An understanding of the building code coupled with the processes of the Department of Buildings, Landmark Preservation Commission, and Department of Transportation is required. Limited management of Administrative Assistants, other office divisions and staff is also essential to this role. A typical day includes, but is not limited to: review of filing drawings; prepare and assemble Alt 2 and Alt 3 applications for filing a various city agencies: DOB, LPC, DOT, etc.; process post approval amendments; maintain client relations, answer questions and provide status; maintain tracking for status of applications; complete applications to gain approval; prepare and file reconsiderations, as needed; basic knowledge of construction means and methods and building codes; prepare permit applications for DOB only; obtain letter of completion and end letters.
Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, communicative, and writing skills, as well as the ability to solve problems, work with minimal supervision, and attend to a heavy project load in a timely manner. We're seeking someone with the desire and drive to become a long-term, indispensible member of our team. Compensation: $35-45K Based on experience and education.
