We are an established and acclaimed bakery with two locations in NYC: a wholesale/retail facility in Hell's Kitchen and a recently-opened retail bakery/cafe in Chelsea. Qualified candidates must be hospitality-oriented; kindness, enthusiasm and natural friendliness are required!
Candidates for Manager should have experience managing a busy full-serve or quick-serve restaurant.
Owner and Executive Chef, Jim Lahey, is the founder of Sullivan Street Bakery and operates both his bakeries and his restaurant, Co., with an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship. We are a growing company with lots of room for opportunity for the right person!
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- A positive attitude and demeanor
- Graceful under fire - must be able to set tone and pace of service, leading by example
- Knowledge and interest in food, beverage and hospitality
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and take directions
- Highly motivated with a sense of urgency and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a team player and have strong communication skills
- Open availability, and willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays
- Aloha and barista experience preferred
- NYC Food Protection Certification required or obtained within one month of hiring date
