At Gamer, we're passionate about bringing our audience the latest news, reviews, and insightful editorials of the gaming culture. As a contributing writer, you will play an integral role in the success of that commitment.

News writers are responsible for the day-to-day writing and publishing duties on the site and will work closely with the Editorial Team and be involved in all aspects of the publication process. These may include gathering, writing and publishing press release news, contacting press representatives to produce more in-depth news stories, tracking down exclusives, developing ideas for, producing & publishing featured articles across a variety of platforms and channels.

We're looking for:
- A motivated and creative individual who can work well both in a team setting and on individual assignments
- Need experience in journalism or writing
- Are looking to jump into the video game industry
- Outstanding written and verbal skills
- ... And great at Pacman

Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong written and grammar skills; an excellent command of the English language
- Extensive knowledge of platform- or genre-specific games if you specialize in particular types of games
- Must be passionate about and able to demonstrate knowledge about the games industry, including specific games, publishers, and developers
- Attention to detail
- A high level of self-motivation
- Previous writing experience (preferred)
