SUMMARY
Under general direction, typically in a repair center, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs complex technical problems of broad product line for standard equipment or components; or complex products where an understanding of the total instrument is required to ensure repair of "state-of-the-art" products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other functions may be assigned.
• Responsible for end to end testing, downloading programming, starting up, commissioning, servicing and quality assurance on assigned projects.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, interpreting control drawings, plans, and specifications, to mount, assemble, test, and program the system.
• Analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs direct digital control systems at customer's location.
• Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.

Education Standard:High School Graduate, optional 2 yrs tech training
Education Type:Diploma, GED, Tech School Certification
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years electronic training and 2-5 years working on component repair of multi-layer P.C. Boards or equivalent combination of education and experience. A typical incumbent may possess 4-8 years of total experience.
