More infoHigh end pattern development studio located in Manhattan's Garment District is expanding and seeking an experienced and highly motivated Pattern Maker to work within a positive, inspiring, fast paced creative environment. This position would be responsible to create patterns from first sketch to a production pattern, trouble shoot and/or alter existing patterns and blocks, create cutters musts complete with all relevant information, communicate with cutter and sample rooms and provide pattern and garment specs.

Requirements:
* Min. 5 years experience in pattern making for contemporary to designer markets
* Ability to drape and flat pattern garments from flat sketch and/or original garments or other inspiration
* Ability to work on a variety of garments
* Full knowledge of an array of construction methods, finishing techniques and fabrics
* Must have an eye for design and line
* Must be able to communicate and work well within a small team and nurture positive relationships with co-workers, outside vendors and clients
* Computer experience a plus
