E-Commerce Web Designer (SoHo)

More infoOnline retailer with a dynamic staff currently looking for a full-time Creative Web Designer to join our award-winning design team in our NYC Soho office. Our ideal team member is ambitious, inventive and will embrace our unique perspective while bringing their own brand of ideas to the table. You will be responsible for designing promotional media, such as emails, online ads and banners, maintaining the design and improvement of the current website, and taking on a variety of other miscellaneous projects.

A strong understanding of sound graphic design principles including layout, typography and color theory is extremely important, as is the ability to work independently as well as part of a group to develop original solutions and ideas. Skill Requirements
-BA in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related field
-2+ years experience working with web graphics
-Strong skills in Photoshop and HTML
-Excellent typographical and layout skills, an eye for detail and appreciation for good design
-Knowledge of and experience working with print
-Clear understanding of website usability/web optimization practices
-Ability to work under tight deadlines with accuracy and speed
-Ability to take direction and translate it into tasks and goals
