Technical Architect/Strategist
The Technical Architect/Strategist leads technical strategy, development, implementation and innovation across Agency accounts. This role works in collaboration with Creative, Business Development, and Implementation teams to deliver robust, best-in-class digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand the Client's business, goals and objectives to lead teams to deliver technical solutions that meet those needs
- Act as a senior level counterpart to Client leadership, providing technical strategic direction to the Client
- Provide full technical scoping assistance for all digital projects, including new business pitches, advising on technical team/vendor choice and writing functional and technical specifications
- Ensure development meets the overall strategy and is delivered to the highest standard
- Work with delivery teams to develop time and cost estimates for overall efforts associated with development projects
- Manage day-to-day development, proposing ongoing solutions, negotiating with design teams and guide overall development
- Oversee quality assurance resources and production as required for delivery
- Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of development including process improvement
- Continually identify agency needs and broaden Agency technical capability
- Work closely with Agency leadership in developing emerging creative technologies
Qualifications:
- Must possess strong problem solving skills across many applications and technologies
- 7+ years hands on experience with broad range of technologies including but not limited to: LAMP, .NET, SQL Server, XHTML/CSS, AJAX, Javacript, Web APIs such as Google, Facebook, Twitter
- Must have 2-3 years technology management experience in a digital agency environment working on a variety of web based sites and applications
- Ability to gather and document business, functional and technical specifications
- Experience with Web analytics platforms such as Webtrends, Google Analytics and/or Omniture
- Possess CMS experience such as Drupal, Expression Engine, Sharepoint and Wordpress
- Social Media experience a plus, including understanding blogging systems, social network APIs and mobile
