The Associated Press is seeking a Sales Manager, Creative Stock Imagery to join its fast-growing creative imagery licensing team.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for licensing creative stock imagery to current and prospective customers with a focus on large a la carte or subscription opportunities. In most cases the Sales Manager will be directly responsible for sales targets and achievement of monthly and quarterly goals. This role will also entail working across departments and verticals with other sales teams and departments to make certain AP creative content is an integral part of the sales strategy. The Sales Manager will also work to identify 3rd party content providers who would be an asset to AP's current portfolio of creative imagery and work with AP team members to secure this targeted content.

Key focus of this job is the achievement of individual and company sales targets for creative imagery. This means that an advanced knowledge of the following is essential:

Royalty-Free, Rights-Managed, Microstock, and all other creative market offeringsUnderstanding and knowledge of customers and key senior contacts within that organizationAccount penetration and the ability to identify and reach key decision makers in an organizationStrategic selling and the capability to work independently to close a deal or be part of a team sales approachCommercial pricing models and key rate card elements that enable accurate pricingREQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 7 years business experience preferably in an account management capacity, with at least 3 years of Senior Level sales experience including prospecting and presenting to Presidents, CEOs, CFOs, and Senior VPs of Fortune 500 and similar companies.Past customer and revenue accountability is required. Ideally, the successful candidate has experience in a business generating at least $3 million in annual revenues.Superior leadership qualities.  The ideal candidate will be highly innovative, self-motivated and resourceful. Specifically, the ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for the job and a proven track record of sales successes, licensing acumen, with high-degree of integrity.Superior written and oral communications skillsStrong computer skills - word processing, spreadsheetAbility to travel up to 25%
