Receptionist/Customer Service for Dog Daycare

We are looking to hire an energetic team member for our busy doggie daycare and overnight boarding facility. This can either be a part-time position, 3-4 days per week (20-30 hours), or full time (32-40 hours). Additional hours may be available for bookkeeping work if you are familiar with Quickbooks, or for dog handling duties in our playrooms if the candidate is a good match.

This position involves staffing our reception area and providing excellent customer service to our clients. Duties include:
-Answer phone calls, book reservations, and provide information to current and prospective clients
-Check in the dogs as they are dropped off for daycare and boarding services
-Maintain records in our software
-Perform a variety of tasks in Quickbooks -- light bookkeeping experience a plus
-And perform a hundred other duties to keep our reception area and office running smoothly.

Our ideal candidate must have experience in an office setting, with previous reception, sales and/or customer service responsibilities.
You must be comfortable with computers and learning new and quirky software.
You need to be fast, efficient, organized and detailed oriented as you will be alone covering the reception area and things can get hectic with multiple dogs being dropped off or picked up at once.
You should live locally to Danbury, CT because it will be difficult to find last-minute coverage for you if you get stuck in traffic, have car trouble, or get caught in snow.
You should be willing to work holidays (we try to rotate the major ones) because holidays are our busiest boarding periods, and you must be able to get to work even on snowy days.
Finally, you must be comfortable with dogs. You will be called upon to take dogs from owners and lead them back to the playroom staff. You will always share the office with a dog or two or three.
This is a year-round position.
