Private Tutors Needed (Queens)

In-home tutoring service is hiring tutors to work with students in Queens and/or Nassau.

We currently need tutors for the following students:
-8th grade Math and ELA in Flushing (preferably one person for both)
-7th grade Math in East Elmhurst (Must be available Mon-Wed at 5:00-6:00 pm)
-College-level Accounting (introductory course)
-College-level Philosophy (must have read and be familiar with Plato's Republic)

Please note: You do not have to be able to tutor all four of these students. Please apply if you are qualified to work with at least one of them.

We are also hiring elementary, middle and high school tutors for future students- ELA, Math and Science. (You do not have to be able to tutor all of these levels or subjects).

Requirements:
-Must have tutoring or teaching experience
-Must be at least 21 years old
-Must be willing to submit to a background check
-Must be able and willing to travel to students in Queens or Nassau for sessions lasting 1-2 hours
-Must be patient, reliable, and available to tutor at least until the end of the school year
-Knowledge of Common Core Learning Standards preferred for K-12 students

Please send your letter and resume. Be sure to indicate which subjects and grade levels you are able to tutor. Your cover letter should include information about your teaching/ tutoring experience, knowledge of the Common Core curriculum, and other relevant information.
